Staff were very freindly and their service was very good.
The bed was too soft, tv did not work and the Wi Fi reception was poor.

This comfortable hotel offered an excellent location and functional rooms. The food was fab and the staff were outstandingly accommodating and pretty friendly. Location: the venue was so close to Bridgewater, the canal and restaurant and a farm. It also was in convenient spot for a travel break or to see the area. I didn't want to leave, had a nice experience and will be back.

The owner and all his staff are an extremely friendly and helpful crew. I slept in and missed the inclusive breakfast serving time but they still took the time and effort to rustle up some breakfast and tea for me. I've stayed in many places that simply wouldn't do that. The evening meal was good food served with a smile. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. As someone else has mentioned, Satnav is an issue but that is hardly the fault of the hotel. I'd blame the guys at Garmin etc. If you're using a Satnav enter the address as Marsh Lane, Bridgwater and it will take you to the door. If you enter the postcode alone, it WILL take you to the wrong side of the river. Even then the incredibly helpful staff "talked me in". A member of staff offered to take my bags to my room. I regularly stay in hotels at twice the price where no one offers to carry my bags for me. A nice team and good value, I will be back when I'm next in the area.
There is almost nothing to criticise but, If I was going be really picky: A spare loo roll wouldn't go amiss in the en-suite....it's embarrassing to have to ask for one. The room's radiator couldn't quite keep up with a very cold evening. As someone else has said the WiFi didn't work well in the room. I took my laptop to the bar area and had a drink while I worked.....Big deal. Again I have to say that I regularly stay in considerably more expensive nationwide hotels where the WiFi only works properly downstairs in the bar area. The previous night I stayed in a £150 Best Western room with no signal.

Friendly and helpful reception staff had booked single but was upgraded to double. Bed very comfy
Shower plug of Room 3 gurgled when water running down wash hand basin plug hole (i.e when cleaning teeth!)...suggests poor drainage/blockage. Shower not very powerful but water hot!

We found out fair prices in the venue. Rewritten Review: We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. It was great value for money and very lovely. Our suite had a beautiful canal view, and the beds were very clean and comfortable. It was convenient to have central heating and amenities like coffee and tea making facilities and a television in the room. We also found the prices at the venue to be fair.
